Josh

Josh joined FBS in 2013 as a member of the CPR team where he enjoys working on conversions, doing member training, and documenting new features in Flexmls. Over the past 12 years he has lived in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C and North Dakota. Although he recently moved to Texas, Josh considers himself an honorary southerner and enjoys attending anvil shoots, crawfish boils, and using the word y’all with impunity.

Multi factor authentication provides an extra layer of security to your Flexmls account by requiring a unique security code when you log in. The security code can be received via an authenticator app, a text message, or a phone call.

It also allows you to log into Flexmls on up to three devices at the same time, which means you can switch between your computer, tablet, or smartphone without having to log in again for up to thirty days as allowed by your MLS. To turn on multi factor authentication, select My Profile under Preferences on the Flexmls menu. Click Security.

Click the Enable link next to Multi Factor Authentication. A page describing Multi Factor Authentication will display. Read the page to learn more, or click Get Started. Enter your password to confirm your identity. Click Next. Choose how you want to receive your security code: a mobile app, a text message, or a phone call.

If you choose mobile app, you’ll be prompted to select the type of mobile device you use and then be prompted to install an authenticator app on the device. Or in this example, I’ll choose use text message and click next. Then I’ll enter in the mobile number I’d like to use and click next.

This will send a verification code to my phone and I’ll enter in the code and click next. Lastly, I’ll click on the button to enable multifactor authentication. Now, whenever I sign into Flexmls, I’ll receive a security code, which I’ll enter as part of the login process.
