The quick search allows you to enter all of your search criteria in one place. In this video, we’ll take a look at the basics of entering search criteria. First, go to your quick search. Work with the page top down, left to right. At the top left, select the search template. The search template you select determines the search fields that appear below.
Your MLS should have default search templates dedicated to each property type in your MLS. You might also have access to a search template that allows you to search multiple property types at once. When you’ve selected the appropriate search template, enter in your search criteria.
In a field like Status, you can make multiple selections by holding your Control key, the Command key for Mac users, and clicking the options you want to include. In this example, I’ll look for active and pending listings in West Fargo with four plus bedrooms and four plus total bathrooms.
At the top of the search template, you’ll see the number of listings that match your results. If there are fewer than one thousand listings that match, you’ll see them plotted on the map. You can view the results at any time by clicking View Results.
Whether you’re viewing results on the list tab or any of the other results tabs, you can decide what actions you’d like to take by using the action items at the top right of the screen. There, you can email results, save the search and add a subscription for a contact, print specific listings, send the results to a CMA, or click on the three dots to access more options like viewing the search details.
Whenever you navigate away from the search results screen, the next time you start a quick search, the property type will be defaulted to your most recently used search template. This concludes our introductory lesson on the quick search. Thank you.
