Need to remove photos and other visual media from public view but keep them available in the MLS? Watch this video to learn how to make photos, videos, and virtual tours private and how to connect privacy to listing status.

Photo privacy can be an important issue for many sellers. In Flexmls, you can mark a listing’s photos as private or private while off market. The same can be done for videos and virtual tours. To change photo privacy settings, go to the Change Listings screen and then go to the Photos section.

You can select photos individually by using the check boxes, or you can use the Select All option in the upper left. Now you can choose to mark the photos as private or private while off market. Private photos stay on the listing, however, they are removed from the public view. If you mark the photos as private while off market, the photos are available to the public when the listing is active.

But as soon as the listing’s status changes to an off market status like pending or closed, the photos are no longer available to the public. Private photos will be outlined in red, while private while off market photos are outlined in maroon. Please note, your MLS determines the specific statuses that apply to the private while off market setting.

Also, the listing’s primary photo will always be available to the public. When you’re finished, return to your Edit Listing screen. You can use the same options for Private or Private while Off Market for videos and virtual tours.

When viewing listings in Flexmls, other MLS members can still view private photos. Private photos are indicated by a red flag.
