In this video, we will look at how to set up subscriptions. In FlexMLS, a subscription sends automatic listing updates to your contact. The first step to set up the subscription is to create a search tailored to your contact’s needs. Go to the quick search screen and select the appropriate search criteria such as location, price, and any other items important to your contact.
Next, go to the Actions row at the top of the screen and select Save Search. Give the search a name. If you’d like, you can also add a search description.
Next, under Contact, select an existing contact or add a new contact. Select the option to Save and Add Subscription. The system will save the search and direct you to the subscription screen. The previously selected contact will receive the subscription by default. You also have the option to send a copy of updates to yourself, turn on notifications so you’ll know when the contact clicks a subscription link, or turn on the Preview mode. When Preview mode is on, the subscription email will be sent to you to review listing updates. You will then decide which listings to send to the contact. Next, choose how often you’d like the system to check for new matches. You can set it to check and send emails ASAP, daily, or as infrequently as once per month. Below, write a subject and compose the message that will accompany each subscription update to your contact. Click Save to finish setting up the subscription. Once you’ve saved the subscription, your contact will automatically receive an email asking them to confirm that they wish to receive listing updates from you. If you go to Contact Management, you can look at a contact’s details to see if they have opted in to receiving the subscription updates. Their email status will be pending when you create the subscription, and it will change to confirmed once they confirm they want to receive updates. You can also find the saved search and subscription on the Searches and Subscriptions tab. You can edit an existing subscription by clicking on the subscription’s name. You can also add additional searches and subscriptions for your contact.
If you’d like to see a record of all subscription emails that have been sent for the past ninety days, go to My Sent Emails and click the option for Subscriptions at the top center of the page. This concludes the tutorial on subscriptions. Thank you.
