Josh

Josh joined FBS in 2013 as a member of the CPR team where he enjoys working on conversions, doing member training, and documenting new features in Flexmls. Over the past 12 years he has lived in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C and North Dakota. Although he recently moved to Texas, Josh considers himself an honorary southerner and enjoys attending anvil shoots, crawfish boils, and using the word y’all with impunity.

Learn how to search using the Quick Launch bar. You can learn how to search by address or MLS #, find recent searches that were performed but not saved, how to open search results in a new tab for easy multitasking, and more!

Welcome to the tutorial on the Quick Launch in FlexMLS. The Quick Launch is a multipurpose search bar located at the top of the screen. By typing at least two characters into the bar, you can look up information in a number of areas. You can even create basic quick searches with it. If you click in the Quick Launch bar without typing anything, you will get a list of your five most recently used saved searches. Type in the word Draft to see your five most recent searches that were run but not saved. To look for other information, type what you are looking for into the bar. As you type, the Quick Launch bar brings up several results that contain the keywords you’ve typed in. You can choose from your saved searches or CMAs, access contacts, or even select another member in the MLS. To view one of the options, you can click on it to open it in the current page, or click on the New Tab option to open the page in a new tab. This allows you to multitask by allowing your work to remain open in the original browser tab. You can use the Quick Launch Bar to search for a specific address or MLS number, or you can also create basic Quick Searches in the Quick Launch Bar. Although not all fields in the MLS will be searchable from here, you can search by fields such as price, status, bedrooms, baths, city, and more. From the Search Results screen, you can refine your search by adding additional criteria on the Edit Search tab.

You can also perform a radius search by searching nearby, or you can specify the radius you want to use.

If you are searching for multiple items under one field, like cities for example, you will want to separate the items in the list with a comma, and then use a semicolon to separate the different fields in the search.

The Quick Launch Bar is also available in Flexible Web, as well as the iPhone and Android Flexible S Pro app. This concludes the tutorial on the Quick Launch Bar. Thank you.
