Welcome to the tutorial on the add listing function in FlexMLS Web. To add a listing, go to the menu, then select the add listing option. Add listing screen is organized by tabs at the top of the screen. Begin by entering listing information on the general tab where you set the property type and listing member information. On the address tab, enter all available address information. Required fields are indicated in red text followed by an asterisk. All required fields must be completed for the listing to be added. Some fields are related to each other so that a selection in one field will dictate which selections are available in another field. For example, in some MLSs, if you select a city, you will see only ZIP codes that are valid options for that city. After you have finished entering the address data, click the next tab or click next at the bottom of the screen.
At this point, the FlexMLS system will search records for a matching address on the map. You may choose one of the suggested locations or manually locate the listing. The main fields tab will include main listing fields designated by your MLS. Adding your public remarks, you may also have access to a ten thousand character supplement to supply additional information about your listing. The detail tab may include information about amenities, appliances, and other groups of details. Required groups appear highlighted in red. Enter room information under the rooms tab by selecting add room and completing the available fields. To add additional rooms, click on add room again and repeat the process. On the broker distribution tab, you can set the distribution options, which vary according to your MLS rules. If you do not have all the necessary information accessible, or if you’d like to add photos to your listing before adding it to the MLS, you may save a listing in an incomplete form by clicking save incomplete. Saving as incomplete allows you to save your currently entered information without generating a listing number. To add photos, documents, videos, or virtual tours to the incomplete listing, select an option from the media group at the right. In this example, I’ll select photos and then select add photos. Select the photos from your files and add them to the listing.
You can rearrange the photos by dragging and dropping them into position, or by selecting the specific order with the number in the upper left corner. The photo outlined in blue with the flag selected is the primary photo that will display on Listing Reports. You can also add photo descriptions and captions, rotate photos, upload replacement photos, and delete photos. To return to the incomplete listing screen, click the link in the upper left corner. You can also add documents, videos, and virtual tours to the incomplete listing. If you’re not yet ready to make the listing live, you can leave the screen. You can access your incomplete listings in the future by using your menu and selecting my incomplete. On the incomplete listing screen, the description column at the right will give a brief overview of the highlighted incomplete listing. Click edit to resume entry of listing information or to add photos, videos, or documents to the incomplete listing. If you’re ready to add the listing to the MLS, click on listing information. Click add listing to make the listing live and generate the listing number. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the add listing process. Once your listing has been added, other members of the MLS will be able to view it in search results, hot sheets, and subscription notifications. This concludes the tutorial on the add listing function in FlexMLS web. Thank you.
