Josh

Josh joined FBS in 2013 as a member of the CPR team where he enjoys working on conversions, doing member training, and documenting new features in Flexmls. Over the past 12 years he has lived in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C and North Dakota. Although he recently moved to Texas, Josh considers himself an honorary southerner and enjoys attending anvil shoots, crawfish boils, and using the word y’all with impunity.

Check out this quick video to learn how superusing allows you to access other members’ accounts without sharing passwords and while maintaining an accurate history of who performed listing changes.

In Flex MLS, superusing allows you to work on another member’s behalf without sharing login information. Oftentimes, superusing is used by an assistant who needs to log in as the broker or another member of the office. For example, if they needed to print listings with someone else’s contact information, add or edit saved searches or subscriptions for another user, or even edit another user’s listings if allowed by the MLS. Please note, the ability to superuse is set up by your MLS or MLS association. Most users will not have the ability to superuse, nor will they need it. In order to superuse, you will log in to FlexMLS with your normal username and password. The current account on screen is an Office Assistant account that has the ability to superuse for agents within the office. To superuse on behalf of another user, click on your initials in the upper right corner. Select the Change User option.

In this case, I’ll see the available options for members that I can superuse as. I’ll select a member and then click Next.

As you can see, I am now super using from Melissa’s account and have access to her listings as allowed by the MLS, contacts, searches, and subscriptions. If I were to print or email a listing, it will come from Melissa’s account.

Please note: I will continue to superuse under Melissa’s account until I notify the system that I would like to stop superusing. In order to stop superusing, click on the initials in the upper right corner that indicate that I am using Melissa’s account, select Change User, and then select the option to quit superusing. Click Next, and now I am logged in with the original account.
